Hi all

This is the hardest one of these I’ve ever had to write.

Last Friday, after several years of fearless fighting, our previous singer Emma finally lost her battle with cancer; she died peacefully in the BRI, and I was privileged to be able to spend a few hours with her on her last day.

Those of you who were lucky enough to see her over the several years she was singing with us will know that she wasn’t just an awesomely gifted singer, but a phenomenal stage presence, and, I can honestly add, the best bandmate anyone could wish for.

Both on and off stage, Emma was a force of nature, as anyone who had the chance to spend time in her company will testify. She was brave, bold, funny, considerate, and always, always, totally authentic and forthright.

Our hearts go out to her husband Sol, son Elijah, sister Polly, and all her other family and friends who will be feeling her loss even more keenly than we are.
